PATRONS
The cost of staging this year's Cowal Gathering will be in excess of £260,000. Cowal is inlike all other major pipe band championships and many other highland gatherings in that it is essentially self financing. Although we receive some financial support from Argyll and Bute Council, for which we are grateful, by far the majority of the costs of staging the event have to be raised by the Gathering. The principal way that this is acheived is by the admission fee. However an extremely important form of income for the event is the income it receives from sponsors and patrons.
With this in mind the support that we receive from our sponsors and patrons is greatly appreciated by all involved in staging the event. The income received from our patrons is used to enhance the event for spectators and competitors alike and as such becoming a patron allows you the opportunity, not only to be associated with this world class event, but to feel pride in the knowledge that your contribution is securing the future and allowing the growth and expansion of this unique highland gathering.
The details of the various schemes are listed below;
